Simple terms for a simple app.

These Terms of Use concern the Tirade macOS app ("the App") made available for direct download.

Permissions granted under the 0BSD license are independent of your acceptance of these terms. In the event of a conflict, the 0BSD license takes precedence for the software it covers.

Tirade’s original code is licensed under the Zero-Clause BSD (0BSD) license. You may use, copy, modify, and redistribute it for any purpose, including selling it or incorporating it into commercial products.

The 0BSD license does not require you to publish your source code or modifications, retain attribution or a copy of the license, or pay royalties.

Third-party components, dependencies, and models remain subject to their own licenses. The permissions described here apply only to the original Tirade software covered by 0BSD.

Tirade is free to use. The App has no subscription or in-app payment system, and all of its features are available without payment.

Please use the App responsibly and comply with applicable law. These reminders do not add conditions to the 0BSD license:

• ∙ Obtain the consent of participants before recording or transcribing conversations where required by law.
• ∙ Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• ∙ Do not unlawfully interfere with, compromise, or access any system or network.

We retain copyright in Tirade’s original code while granting the permissions set out in the 0BSD license. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. The 0BSD license does not grant trademark rights in the Tirade name or logo.

Any feedback you provide about the App may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what data the App processes and how.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that transcription output will be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Changes to these terms do not revoke or restrict permissions already granted under the 0BSD license.

You may stop using and delete the App at any time. Ending your use of the App or terminating these terms does not revoke or restrict permissions granted under the 0BSD license.

These terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of France.
